This is very interesting... how food is objectified and used to generate a "melting-pot" effects in order to stimulate "physical" senses and "chimical" appetites. Food is exploited (by male) just as human bodies for a commercial purpose. I think, that through this we really risk to lose our relationship with food. Does really food need to be attractive to be healthy? I doubt that we really need this to re-create our emotions and feelings behind our eating. How about our memories of food, our learning about where the food comes? We are the food, food is not just a collection of images or fuel, food is people and universe together.

This is just a commercial for a production company? Yes, it's cool. But why are you publishing their promo reel?

This is essentially a digital Press Release/Commercial but still interesting and beautiful.

The revelation that food is becoming irresistible is very timely. The media coverage of cooking and food has increased relentlessly in many Western countries during the past decades. Reading May Eberstadt's "Adam and Eve after the Pill" she devotes an entire chapter entitled "Is food the New Sex?" Just think about it. Watching the girths expand and observing continues eating habits one wonders if one has time or interest in having sex. In the cult movie "9 and Half Weeks" the scene when one lover is feeding the other serves only as to underscore but not quite replace having sex. If the movie were made today, eating would have dominated he movie. As we humans become less attractive in chubby terms, junk fund can be portrayed more seductively than ever. The only commitment here is to one's unbridled appetite. No prenuptial nor children necessary. Life will become just a "take-away."
