What a beautiful chant and deeply felt performance. Hinaleimoana is a cultural icon, and I congratulate the Smithonian for featuring her in this piece. But why do you have her introduced by a writer who is widely despised in Hawaii for his arrogance and belittling treatment of Polynesians? It's like a piece about civil rights narrated by Strom Thurmand. Auwe!
