Too bad Rocky Mountain National Park has decided to essentially ban the Elk by putting up fences around the meadows.

I especially like that fact that the people who manage the golf courses are actually WILLING to repair them every day. Unlike in Yellowstone and other places where wolves and buffalo that venture out of 'territory' are shot, elk are actually viewed and accepted as part of the local community and flavor of Estes Park.

We live in Denver and visit Estes park frequently. Thank you for this beautiful video about one of the best things in Colorado-our wildlife.

Outstanding video. I love the segment of the tourists backing away from the enormous elk! A great addition to this video would be a downloadable audio file of the elk's call for use as a ringtone.

I have lived in Colorado for nearly 35 years, and this is one of the best stories about our co-habitation with the landscape and wildlife. Beautiful images, well told and not a wasted word or clip. Thank you.

Well done Sonya. I'm sure it took quite a lot of time to get those shots.

What a beautiful video! I hope we can visit Estes next Oct.!
