Are there volunteer opportunities to help support this effort?

Great job pointing out the losses beyond the obvious tragic devastation: that the collapse of certain buildings caused the loss of Haiti's art, culture, and history, and the crucial effort to preserve and restore what remains.

As a artist and having Haitian heritage myself, I know how hurtful it can be seeing such wonderful and priceless artworks go to waste. It is indeed such a huge task because saving these works of art is definitely saving a culture... Great job Smithsonian!..
