Consumer packaged goods companies (like the General Mills - the maker of Wheaties) are changing specs on their packages, glues, bags, etc. all of the time. Great job hypothesizing on that stuff, but I have to ask, why not just reach out to somebody in R&D there and have them tell you about the glue, etc.? Having the Wheaties box in the museum is a good thing for them, I would imagine they would collaborate.

I find it fascinating that this "food" is still edible after so many years. What does that say about the preservatives in it? Is it really safe to consume this product?

Great video - preservationists at work! The only thing more fun than Advertising and product art, classic/historic Advertising and product art!What did you pack inside the box when it was resealed? With all the new questions about the effect of genetically "new" wheat, short grain wheat, wheat gluten - on the American diet... ...I wonder how the Jim Thorpe Wheaties compare to the modern version of Wheaties. IF it is comparably different, how it fits into the History of modifying wheat grains and or how its has been processed over the past 90 years. Kent in Buffalo
