I read in your magazine about your new Elephant House and wanted to see the video of them getting a bath. The video was so enjoyable to watch as well as educational about the life of elephants at the zoo. The magazine article mentioned the "time capsule" that was found and I was so intriguted by this story and how you are preparing a time capsule for the next generation. I am so proud that our country has the National Zoo as well as the Smithsonian museums! Thank you for all you do and for giving us the special opportunity to see animals from all over the world.

good job,nice, thanx..

It was so wonderful to see the loving care these beautiful creatures are given. My whole body was smiling. There are so many animals being mistreated these days. The elephants were just beautiful and I wished I were able to care for them also. Thank you for all you are doing for them. Ginny

i love elefants. my teacher showed me this site for social studies. we were doing the pizza one for a supply and demand sheet thingy. i thought this was a cool little video. i like the names of the elefants names. elefants seem really smart. :-)

Interesting!

i think shanti is cute

Are there other elephants at the zoo or only this one? It's my understanding that to be happy, elephants should be with other elephants. Also, I've noticed his grounds are rather plain, just grass, no other vegetation. Also, how big is that enclosure?

It is great to see the animals in action. I really enjoy hearing about what is going on with them. I am 85 and don't get to the zoo as often as I would like. Keep up with the good work.

How wonderful and special to see these gentle giants being so well taken care of!!!!!!!! The educational info that the public, especially the kids, is getting,
is so necessary and I pray will help keep conservation important to each and everyone! I personally believe these wonderful elephants hold the key to what all families should be striving for, caring, patience , love and guidance.

Thank You for the demonostration of such values!
