I live in Allentown, PA and I teach the laser and holography summer workshop classes at the Smithsonian. On Friday, August 17, 2012, three-dimensional holograms of the Hope Diamond were created from one of the Smithsonian's replicas. These holograms were shot at the S. Dillon Ripley center, next to the castle. Workshops are run by the Smithsonian Associates. If you would like to display the Hope Diamond hologram at your Oct. event in Bethlehem. I have one personal hologram that I could loan.

Hello, I really have a question and hope you can bear with my explanation first. I do a small event at the Hotel Bethlehem (where the original Eagle Hotel where Mary Yohe was born) each spring. It is a paranormal event for all the enthusiasts out there and of course our main focus is Mary Augusta Yohe. I was informed there will be an event at the Hotel Bethlehem to promote the new book also in Oct that I would love to attend. I have done research for myself to help with my presentations and came across on old film called The Hope Diamond Mystery. Apparently it is a 15 part series that was going to be put on DVD by a private enterprise but couldn't come up withe the funding. It features Grace Darmond and a very young Boris Karlof. It was written by Charles Goddard & May Yohe. Now here is an interesting did bit. The name of my little group is Called the GhostBreakers. It came from my grandmother who had a little group that did seances etc in the 30's. She got it from a play she saw in NY called The Ghost Breakers. So I took the name in the 70's for my little group with her blessings. Since I started doing the hotel event I discovered that the play was made into a book of the same name (of which I now have an original copy) and as coincidence would have it Charles Goddard wrote both the book the play and the Mystery of the Hope Diamond series. Strange that May would become involved with him also and then us get involved with her birth place not knowing Goddard was the link? Ok enough of that and on to the question. Since private sources couldn't get the series done for public sale as a DVD I was wondering with the Smithsonian's ownership of the Diamond and involvement with the first book and now a book on Madcap May Yohe if they would ever consider taking on the project of doing it? Thank you, Kim Kowalczyk
