Comparing Julia Child's shows to today's "food" shows,it's quite evident that Child never needed any gimmicks like contests, races, and other absurd antics to keep the audience's attention. All there was was Julia and her food. Hat's off to a true professional.

It's true! Julia Child was as zany and fun as I remember as a kid.She also helped me through the fear of going beyond the basics of food preparation. To bad so many of todays t.v. food show hosts don't have Julia's straight forward approach and "Child" like fun. Cheers, James Stenhouse

Love, love, love me some Julia! I became a professional chef after being inspired by Julia's PBS shows in the 1970's. Watch for a new biography book, "Dearie: The remarkable life of Julia Child" coming out in August for her 100th birthday. I've pre-ordered my copy!

Yes! Love her! Watching videos of her remind me of my Memere Rose! <3

I LOVE YOU Julia Child!! Bon apetite...! <3

She's a hoot isn't she?
