This is really amazing footage. The topic is such a small, unknown portion of WWI I am amazed this has survived. It was really interesting to see the actual work being done and preserved just as it was shot, at least so it looks. Wonderful.

This film footage dates from round 1916 - 1919 when synchronized sound in film was not developed. We chose to leave this amazing authentic film the way it was rather than to add music or our own voice-over narration.
