The New Mexico Museum of Art, in Santa Fe, focuses on art created in and inspired by New Mexico. Its collection includes photographs by Ansel Adams and Alfred Stieglitz and paintings by Marsden Hartley and Georgia O'Keeffe.
The Museum of International Folk Art, also in Santa Fe, holds the world's largest collection of folk art, including works from over 100 countries.
New Mexico's unique landscapes have inspired many artists, but none has come to be so associated with the state as Georgia O'Keeffe. Today, her home and studio in Abiquiu, near Santa Fe, can be toured by appointment. In Santa Fe, the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum displays a vast collection of her work.

Your travel information and tours of New Mexico--and Santa Fe in particular--omit some important cultural developments. Arts and culture in Santa Fe encompasses much more than the Santa Fe Opera, the museums, and the galleries. A number of well-known contemporary authors, small presses, and independent booksellers represent a burgeoning literary community in an area that first began to be home to noted authors in the 1920s.
I have offered a literary walking tour of Santa Fe since 1996,and have published a guidebook, WALKS IN LITERARY SANTA FE--A GUIDE TO LANDMARKS, LEGENDS, AND LORE (Gibbs Smith, Publisher, 2007).
Would be happy to work with you on Web content...and on actual tours and excursions in Santa Fe.
Thank you,
Barbara Harrelson, author and tour guide
