Recycling Partnership

Recycling is a simple act that makes a big difference every day.

Smithsonian Enterprises -- along with other media companies, paper companies and catalogers -- is a supporter of Recycling Works in Publishing (RWIP). RWIP is a member of The Recycling Partnership, a program of Curbside Value Partnership, whose goal is to increase curbside recycling in communities throughout the U.S.

The Recycling Partnership (recyclingpartnership.org) is a national nonprofit, transforming recycling in towns all across America. They believe that recycling is fundamental to a healthy environment and economy. Every day, they work hand-in-hand with communities and companies, continuously innovating to improve recycling systems.

The Recycling Partnership works at the community-level to provide free tools, assistance and grants to improve the quality and quantity of curbside recycling. Recovering more bottles, cans, containers and paper means less carbon emissions, more water savings, more energy savings, and a new supply of feedstock for manufacturing.

The Recycling Partnership also works across the entire recycling system to drive collaboration and innovation. They make connections, solve problems, open dialogs, and partner to set the pace for a brighter, more sustainable future.
