Although Prague has a population of 1.2 million, visitors will find its remarkably well-preserved historic core to be compact, manageable and eminently walkable.

Prague is the only city I have fallen in love with. A very special place which I did not spend nearly enough time in.

I fell in love with Prague.....The Charles Bridge was beautiful and the art and sculptures were magnificent!! The beer was great and tried absinthe while we were there. I would recommend everyone to visit Prague.

When I lived in Europe for 4 years, I went to Prague 4 or 5 times a year for the weekend. It's in my all time favorite places I have been too.
Be sure to just take it easy in the old town square (Stare Mesto); visit Prague Castle; visit the old Jewish Cemetery; walk across the Charles Bridge and visit the many merchants along the way; and just meander your way through the many little pedestrian only streets.
There are many fine restaurants in Prague, but I'll mention one of my favorites, Kampa Park. It is just on the other side of the Charles Bridge as you're walking away from the old town; it is actually located down below the bridge and near the river. It is a bit expensive, but it is very good...highly recommended.
