1. My greatest professional influences are my undergraduate advisor Garth Gaudry and my graduate advisor Elias Stein.

2. The last book I read is Beyond Fear by Bruce Schneier.

3. The most pressing "short term" issue facing the world is nuclear proliferation; but the most pressing "long term" issue is ensuring quality education and the ability for people to reason for themselves.

4.The most important lesson I ever learned is that there are always more lessons to be learnt.

5. My advice for those just starting out in this profession is to have fun; there's a lot of really cool things that one can learn and do in mathematics.
