We Have A New Look

The new site design has lots of new features to explore. Tell us what you think!

For the first time in years Smithsonian.com has overhauled its design. We've strived to make the site a better showcase for the new ideas, innovations and experiences we capture and detail every day, and to emphasize the video franchises coming out of our new Digital Video Studio.

We've made the design responsive: On any screen—desktop, tablet, mini or smartphone—the design will adjust itself to provide the best navigation and overall view of our content. We've also replaced the inner workings of the site, using open source software. Our new Django-based CMS will enable us to quickly add new features.

As with any change of this magnitude, there are bound to be glitches. That's OK; we've always considered Smithsonian.com to be a work in progress, and rely on feedback from you to improve.

With that in mind, please feel free to add a comment below, or send us your feedback. Please tell us what you like, what you don’t like and what you'd like to see more of in the way of features, technologies, etc. We promise to respond quickly.

It's been a long road to a new look. We hope you like it, and that you'll help us make it even better.
