My children were born on the border of the BWCAW, on our small farm in Embarrass, MN. We have taken many trips into the most popular wilderness destination in the United States, therefore maybe the world. Some life and family changes meant we were, during the spectacular late summer of August 2013, on our last long trip in the BW for many years to come. My son paddled his own kayak. My daughter drove our canoe from the front. And children learned their force in the world untrammeled by the many works of man...
