You might have seen old pictures of the inside activity in old Chinese teahouses with customers showing off their songbirds in small, beautifully crafted bamboo cages? The teahouses are all gone, the exquisite and elaborately carved bird cages are now expensive antique collectables, the shops that sold the tiny songbirds and feed - all gone.
