Elephant rides at Amer Fort, Rajasthan

Elephants have traditionally been used to trek goods and people up the steep slopes of this beautiful and strategically located fort at Amer, Rajasthan in India. This photo was taken in January 2015 on a chilly morning soon after sunrise when the elephants began their treks carrying tourists up to the Amer Fort and back down.
