Earthquake aftermath

On April 16 2016 an earthquake hit the coast of Ecuador causing unprecedented destruction and mortality in the region. The Island of Portete was partially abandoned due to high impact on the wooden constructions and the difficulty of bringing help. Most people were relocated on camps.
