TOWARDS THE RIVER

- A group of women in the state of West Bengal, India started a cooperative for fishing in the nearby rivers and in local ponds. The most of the women had never fished before; even today they do not own any boat or supplies that would support their efforts to generate income and better feed their families. Here in the photograph they were going to a nearby river for fishing jointly.
