Tanguera

Standing in a century-old bar and accompanied by an acoustic guitar, this stunning woman sang classic tangos into the quiet night of the Barracas neighborhood, a working-class neighborhood on the south side of Buenos Aires. This Bodegón has become a vital hub in the revitalization of tango as a participatory neighborhood practice, bringing together multiple generations of tango enthusiasts to dance, sing, and play together in the warm glow of this old tavern.
