Rituals in the City

I captured this photo from a street in Kolkata where the devotees were performing Dondi. A ritual of faith, a ritual of hardship. The devotees wriggle on their bellies over a long distance to reach the river or the temple shrine, and they have faith that their prayers will be heard by God.
