We had been trying to hike the Narrows in Zion NP for near 15 years and on the four previous occasions, the river depth or local storms had laid waste to this plan. Finally in Oct 2013 we completed the hike on Sunday Oct 29th (the government shut down the National Parks on the Monday). I was impressed with what the power of water and time can create, this along with the constantly change in lighting makes for one amazing place to photograph or just to take in the scenery while hiking.
