The Spotted Owl in Marin County, California

This lovely and endangered spotted owl lives in my area in the Redwoods in Marin County, California. We are honored to have them in our woods, especially as they are endangered and need the awareness from all of us to protect and honor them. There are a number of spotted owl couples here, and if we are lucky enough to find their location of nesting each year and see their babies we can keep a tally of roughly how many there are and that they are safe. It reminds us to protect and cherish all endangered birds and animals in their natural habitat. I just love them~
