Rescue Dog Henna

Henna is a beautiful Carolina Dog who was rescued from euthanasia by Douglas County Canine Rescue in Colorado. She has been looking for her forever home and this is a candid portrait of her as she was enjoying rolling in the grass and basking in the sun. Thousands of adoptable dogs are euthanized in the US every day and Henna is one of the lucky ones who escaped. Her soulful eyes tell us the value of her life and a glimpse into her story which is only able to be told because she was rescued.
