Man's Prime Mate

While visiting a wildlife sanctuary in the Peruvian Amazon, monkeys were playfully climbing all over a friend and I. We laughed and took photos and played, but it was only when I was back home and looking at the photos that I was able to stop and reflect on how human-like this monkey's features were. The fingernails and shimmering eyes caught me off-guard. Sometimes we forget our connection from our past and ancestors, and I think this photo brings that connection back to light.
