Forster Grabbing a Fly Larvae

About a dozen Elegant Terns were fishing along the shore adjacent to the NWR auto tour route. As they skimmed the water surface, they occasionally tucked their heads under while still in full flight and grabbed a fly larvae or other snack off the water surface, as seen here.
