After the storm

This photo of a drenched and stunned hawk resting on the trunk of a large pine tree was taken on the morning of August 4, 2015 when a severe windstorm blew through my neighborhood in Coventry, RI. Numerous trees were destroyed by this storm. We lost two 60-year old maples in our backyard. The pine tree in this image fell across my neighbors' driveway destroying one and damaging the other of their two vehicles parked there. This hawk stood on the fallen tree for quite awhile seemingly in shock. I was able to get very close to him to take my photo.
