We have a rare breed of night blooming cactus in our yard.  It only blooms once a year, for one night. The bloom gives its own illumination, but we added to the lighting with two hand-held flashlights

I was on a ladder picking sugar apples (annona squamosa) in my backyard when I spotted this incredible Screech Owl sitting in my tree. I quietly went down and into the house to get my camera, went bac
