A lagoon at the Dragon Hill Santa Cruz Island, Galapagos

During dry season in Galapagos, water in lagoons becomes very salty creating a suitable habitat for a small shrimp Artemia salina. American flamingos (Phoenicopterus ruber) feed on these shrimps. Dragon Hill trail runs through three different environments.
