Indian Hindu devotees perform rituals during the Shiva Gajan festival in Sona Palashi, a remote village some 140 kilometres west of Kolkata, capital of eastern Indian state West Bengal on 12 April 2014. Faithful Hindu devotees offer various rituals and symbolic sacrifice hoping the favor of god Shiva and mark the arrival of the New Year for Bengali calendar.
