Old family barn

Our family farm has existed since the early 1900's and has been operated as a dairy and hay farm by my great grandparents and grandparents. I've spent my entire life on this farm and have explored every corner. While walking through the old haymow, I took this photo of the simple light switch I noticed how old and worn it looked. It's lit the mow so many summer nights during "haying-season" while my family would pile into this building and stack the hay bails for winters's safe-keeping. This nail on the wall was used to hang loose twine for later re-purpose. These small details that were taken for granted speak to a different time, a time that was simple yet shows a certain roughness.
