Three fishermen on Inle Lake

David Lazar (Brisbane, Australia)
Photographed January 2011, Inle Lake, Myanmar

At Inle Lake in Burma, Lazar was up at sunrise to capture fishermen who use their legs to wield oars. “I found a high vantage point,” he recalls, “and wanted to photograph this iconic and unique Burmese fishing style.”

Awesome, but yeah- a little too obvious on the HDR.

This is such an arresting composition and soothing, light-filled colors. I am drawn to it again and again. Thank you for the beauty.

Very pretty, but I can't vote for something with so much HDR. It's a nice effect but is ruining photography.

Visually arresting. Awesome composition/design -- based on geometric water ovals and off-center balancing of the three vertical figures, with their nets acting as conical arrows that point to that center of interest. Beautiful back-lighting adds to a translucent glow. Subtle coloration most attractive. Original image with a crystal glow that grabs you and won't let you go!
