What a once-in-a-lifetime photo! I've only seen the dried evidence of this collaboration. Gorgeous color too.

What a rare moment....something none of us could see for ourselves without this excellent photo!!! We have a vase sponge in our collection and knew the story of divers giving one with 2 shrimp trapped inside to a bride and groom to signify their beginning life together forever. We had often wondered what that would look like. Thanks for this.

Absolutely Magnificent!

Wonderful photo !!! Excellent effect with the light glowing thru the sponge.

What an astonishing photo! The colors are so subtle, the light so mysterious... and I know for a fact that shrimp is no more than 2 cm in length. And there is another shrimp hiding in the shadows and still another tiny one with black eyes. Where is that light coming from? I looked at this for 30 minutes... The photographer has taken us into an unknown place and the creature has shared its hidden world ... this is one of the most amazing photographs of nature I have ever seen, and I am a biologist. I personally think this is the most beautiful, most difficult shot of all the finalists.

Best underwater photo I have seen!

A highly unusual and excellent utilization of shape and light with a 3 dimensional effect of space and dynamics.
What a beautiful image of life in the ocean.
