Enchanting photo! But how is it altered? I took this one in Budapest, Hungary a while back -hope y'all enjoy :) http://bit.ly/Yxzdfi

WOW! I can see people walking up and down the staircase to get to the train. Looks like home.

Great picture! One of the best I have seen. I am a Rochesterian, and was wondering if you, or anyone could pass along some information about how to see this place for myself!

Incredible piece of photography that does in fact cross the line from photo to art. Your distinctive vision shines here!

it reminds me of alice in wonderland. love it so much!

I find the the soft curves and the light quite easy on the eye. It draws me in....

Art gives a person feelings. I feel a lot with this photo. The expectation of another time descending the stairwell, the ghostly memory of past generations ascending, the sadness of beauty abandoned, the joy of light from above. Not to mention the highlighting of patterns, angles, movement. This would be my favorite.

What an awsome picture! The way it is set up and the lighting being just right, it really makes you envision all of the people over the years climbing up and down everyday. Great job!

That is beautiful ..

Absolutely beautiful. There's a story waiting to unfold. Love every aspect Especially lighting. Def a pic to share and save :)

this is the best(the old railroad station), The old mine on Red Mountain pass was next best

This picture captured my imagination. At first glance, it seemed cold and lonely, but them as I looked at it again, I could see the light peeking through bringing a certain warmth to the surface. I could visualize people at one time ascending and descending from the stairway. The pattern of the walls against the pattern of the floor was very nostalgic. Overall, the photographer captured a very beautiful and serene photo.

Breathtaking truly remarkable and memorable!

The stairway and the lighting. Nice!

A stairway to nowhere. Excellent picture.

Mr. Murray has a very distinctive eye for abandoned beauty. While all the other submissions are excellent, this photo truly transcends into art. The light, the tones, the curves of the stairwell, and the patterns over patterns. Glorious scene captured by a superb photographer. Bravo.

The longer you stare at this picture the better it looks...it's the light below intrigues me. Great photo!
