I share in the feelings of all the others who've commented. It is intriguing and leaves you wondering - where is this? Is that water or ice maybe? The streaks in the sky look so different and dramatic when they're displayed in black & white. A lovely, inviting shot.

Absolutely Breath taking. You are so very lucky to have seen this with your own eyes and thank you for sharing it. Simply Gorgeous !!!!!

This is one of my favorite photos. The image evokes many feelings but ultimately it gives one the feeling of peace and tranquility which is something we all need.

This is pure poetry; think Japan 2011:

Earthquake, Tsunami, Radiation, Devastation,
Cherry Blossoms suffocation.

Mother Nature Refreshed Now, Serene, Pristine, Akin to
Human Spirit's Resilience ...

............A Japanese Rock Garden.

Absolutely breathtaking! I stayed at the Davenport Roadhouse in September, 2009 and I know the view is incredible.

I find it intriguing that the photographer chose to render this in a black and white while titling it "After Sunset." It jars (in a good way) our normal conception of sunset -- colors of reds, oranges, yellows.... blow that away with just the black, whites, and greys....

nearly like clouds, when one presumes it's water... or is it water??

Love the Mellow yet Dramatic feel. Nice shot.

I have no words to do this any justice. But I wanted to leave some indication that I think your work is divine.

great shot. very serene. but why were 2 very similar images by the same photog nominated?

This Picture is really interesting. Its kind of mysterious. Also it makes you think of heaven.

A lonesome place that encompasses all and stretches into future time.

love this jim
