After reading the comments I'm more confused than ever. What is real and what is altered? My first impression was that the children and toy car were inserted into the picture of a damaged house for effect, then the comments led me to ponder the roof vs volcano question. Too much to think about!

Remove the wires??? The angles made by the poles and wires work with the volcano and roof angles. The offset of the clouds and offset of the roof are parallels.
I think its a great shot. House vs. volcano. Great color. Even the kids and car relate back to the house and volcano.
It's about composition. You really couldn't tell the roof from the volcano?

The category is "altered images". The power lines should have been edited out of the picture and some digital enhancement should have made a distinction between the roof and the volcano. It's a very confusing shot in my opinion.

A perfect"yes",to a no-no.....Very, nice !!!

Is this Mt. Mayon Volcano in Philippines?

love this picture I did not realize the volcano was not the roof of the house just fabulous!!!!

Does anyone see anything good about this picture?

Glasses, people. Don't eat the brown acid!

I took a look at the poles in the background which are in front of the Mountain which define what;s mountain & what's roof. That's for the flat part of the roof, the part where the roof slates upward, hard to tell, mountain from roof.

Good illusion, volcano does appear to be apaart of the roof.

I, too, mistook the volcano for the roof.

I really think this picture. It looks like it has a story behing it.I really like how the mountains behind the house looks like a roof and it kinda gives a creepy feel to this picture.

Oh geez! Thanks Ashly, for the comment. I thought it WAS the roof. Photography can sometimes play tricks on the eye.

I love how the volcano looks like the roof of the home.
