Fantastic image, Skip. Such an interesting angle and gorgeous color. Love the fleur-de-lis flag.

vivid colors!

wow! I love this one

Pure Art ! Where but in America, notice the flag design; "The French Quarter", is it not? A striking angle of contrast and colours, with sea birds escaping to open water. Outstanding composition and photography !

It is very eye-catching shot with striking colour combination. Definitely get my vote.

Thanks for the wonderful comments! @Joann there are not Bats. They are birds. Although I live in Austin, Texas (you are correct about out bats) I made this image in New Orleans. Not sure if they have bats or not, but I am sure that these are indeed birds. :-)

This is a wonderful photo however; I do believe the flying images are bats. Austin is famous for the Congress Bridge bats. People gather there by the hundreds to watch the bats emerge from under the bridge. The bats migrate there in the summer and are considered a major insect exterminator.

Brilliant image!!!

The richness of a fleeting moment is captured so well in this photograph. Thank you.

Great shot! Wonderful colors, of course, and then nature sneaks into the corner. Well done!

Wonderful photograph, I can just picture it on a wall in my home. The composition is great and the colors are beautiful.

great composition, wonderful colors, and beautiful lights! Love this one!

Kind of a strange angle... interesting though.

As a former resident of the Vieux Carre I can readily identify with this lovely photo.

I only wish I knew for sure which of the Quater's streets this house is on?

Thank you for a great photo.

Having lived in New Orleans, this photo takes me right there again. I can see, hear, and smell via this photograph. Wonderful evocation!

Thanks for commenting on my image Patty! :-)

Wonderful color and composition. This is my choice
