Love the dynamic in the composition and the stark b&w.

I voted for this because it is one of the few unusual shots I have seen in a long time. It is certainly not the "run of the mill" pretty picture. It has all the elements of a good work of art.

Without a doubt, the most artistic and stunning picture of all the ones selected. It has my vote!

The reflection of the clouds on the beach with the geometry of the ropes, the black and whiteness of it all, and the solitary man...draws you into to scene. Great moment, great shot.

I like the way I feel as though I am there.

This photo speaks to all human endeavor. The fishermen gather nets to feed families, but I also envision cables feeding engines of discovery - engines to understanding.

Excellent picture. So serene and yet captivating. the figures in the background take you past the fisherman and make you wonder if they are in any way linked to the act of fishing or just by-standers. they also draw more attention to the reflection of the clouds in the wet sand.

I am drawn into the mystery of the light. Without the caption you don't know if it is sunrise or sunset?
I enjoy the organic shapes of the rope playfully contrasted with the geometric planes of the composition. The soft greys lulling me into the receding debths pulling into the infinity.
