its the femininity of the natural word!

Great shot! Not too many people would notice that subject and the photo is all the better for it. Nice!

^ I do. Looking at the thumbnail, I was so sure it's a Venus fly-eater or something at the first sight of it. Very interesting subject.

does anyone see this as a carnivorous plant licking its lips?

What unique mind captured this subject? It's always great to see nature in unusual stages, that we totally miss even when we are stopping to watch. It's cousin was already in bloom and we were busy looking at that one, or glancing over this closeup for sure. Nice and arresting.
