Welding at Burning Man

Odom was at the Burning Man arts festival when she came upon Michael Christian welding the final pieces of his sculpture Klimax. "I love the lighting and the sparks from the welder's torch," she says. "It makes me smile."

This is a very unusual photo -- full of movement while standing still. The sparks from the artist's grinder (yes it is not a torch or the artist would be wearing a welding mask)add to the sense of movement.

Fascinating! Impressive work and a photo to document it....where is the the sculpture now?
