Texas pioneers

Laura L. Robinson (Dallas, TX)
Photographed October 2003, Cranfills Gap, TX

Robinson was drawn to this former Norwegian settlement, where her own grandfather once lived. "The tree with its great arms stretched out and the church underneath... these things remind me of the great pioneers of Texas."

NEAR and DEAR to my HEART! My parents went to several small towns in Texas and showed movies every week in the 40's - this is one of the towns. How sweet are the memories now that I am 70! What a blessing to view this photo and REMEMBER!

God bless - We really enjoy your wonderful publication.

Sincerely, Barbara Gunter, Waco Texas

What a find!! This is the Church my Dad attended when he was a young boy.

I like the serenity it has captured.
MY first thought: Tie a yellow ribbon to the old oak tree.
