A time capsule of American architecture and collections from colonial era to Victorian and into the twentieth century.
Our Military Room contains the MacGregor Swords from a local father who served in the American Revolution and his son who served in the War of 1812. Our Civil War artifacts were donated by local families.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
