Exhibits

If you want to know Memphis Music, the best source is directly from the mouths and the memorabilia of Memphis’ musical legends. Unique and personal memorabilia from Elvis, Howlin’ Wolf, Johnny Cash, Justin Timberlake, B.B. King and dozens of other inductees. See Jerry Lee Lewis’ custom Cadillac and Isaac Hayes’ organ from Stax Records, view interviews and see performances from Sam Phillips, The Staple Singers, ZZ Top and more. Test your knowledge of Memphis’ music or world-changing lyrics. Plus, each year, as new musical legends are inducted into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame, the exhibit changes and expands just in time for your next visit!

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
