Showing visitors the joy, the art, the technology and the multicultural history of kites worldwide is the mission of the World Kite Museum & Hall of Fame, in Long Beach, Washington. This 27 year old, over 9,000 square foot of activities and kites is a fascinating experience.
Exhibits include Bird Kites & Kites of WWII. An Asian kite tour including Japan, China, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Afghanistan. A Video of WWII Kites for target practice, catching bats with kites, and materials to make a kite are available. A special exhibit on Ray Bethell, kite flyer.
