UMMA houses a rich collection of fine art, including works by Winslow Homer, Käthe Kollwitz, George Inness, Berenice Abbot, and John Marin. Further, UMMA offers a significant body of contemporary art, featuring works on paper by Jim Dine, Kara Walker, Roy Lichtenstein, and Elizabeth Murray.
In addition to works from the permanent collection, the University of Maine Museum of Art's summer exhibitions (through September 19th) features exhibitions by David Hilliard, Connie Imboden, and Christopher Frost.
