The University Art Museum at UC Santa Barbara serves as a unique educational resource for academic and community audiences throughout the region. It seeks to promote scholarship, inspire creative excellence and deepen an understanding of the visual arts produced throughout the world.

Exhibits

On view - A Beautiful Nothing: The Architecture of Edward A. Killingsworth is the first major presentation of this Mid-Century modern Southern California architect. Vanishing Los Angeles: The Photography of Mary Bowling is rarely seen photographs from the 1950s and 1960s capturing the city’s transformation.




Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
