The University of Arizona Museum of Art (UAMA) features Tucson's premier art collection including the 15th century Spanish 26 panels of the "Altarpiece of Ciudad Rodrigo." The Altarpiece was featured in the PBS documentary, "Secrets of the Divine."

Exhibits

In addition to the 15th century Spanish Altarpiece of Ciudad Rodrigo, UAMA will feature David Headley's giant abstract triptychs and the exhibition Sol LeWitt Days, presenting LeWitt drawings constructed by six teams of Tucson artists. 20th century selections include Rothko, O’Keeffe, and Diebenkorn.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
