The history of Washington comes alive at this family friendly 5.5 acre Georgetown estate once owned by Martha Washington's granddaughter and 6 generations of her family. Now a National Historic Landmark, Tudor Place is distinguished for its neoclassical architecture, decorative arts collection, and five-and-a-half acre garden.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
