The Rural Heritage education and research center at the historic Geneva School House celebrates the past, present and future of the rich and diverse culture of the rural Floridian. Located in East Seminole County, exhibits and events bring families and communities together in art, music, craft, rural lifestyle activities and traditions..

Exhibits

Visitors will view the on-going renovation of an historic school. The Real World Laboratory for Experiential Learning will conduct an open house to showcase emerging trends in informal education. Rural Heritage Games will entertain young visitors, while workshops in virtual heritage will engage tech-savvy visitors.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
