The Historic New Orleans Collection is a museum, research center, and publisher dedicated to the study and preservation of the history and culture of New Orleans and the Gulf South. Museum admission is free; tours are $5.
Free tour of Louisiana History Galleries or Williams Residence or Architecture and Courtyard Tour with Museum Day Live! ticket. Tours at 10 & 11 am, 2 & 3 pm.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
